About New Zealand Fishing Charters
The Boat and Skipper
Snapa Slapa 2 is a 7 Metre alloy catamaran on a trailer - so we can go where you want to fish. The boat is in survey for ten fishermen plus skipper and replaced our original smaller boat. It has the latest EPIRB 406 satellite location device, VHF radio, flares, fire extinguishers and life jackets. The boat has two helm seats, a carpeted floor with a 115 litre chilly bin. We have filled this bin in under an hour on a great days' fishing. Skipper Pete has many years of experience fishing these waters and is licenced to operate fishing charters from North Cape to the Cavalli Islands, Bay of Islands, Paihia and as far as Cape Brett. Please remember to bring something to eat and drink, suitable clothing and a hat and sun block, etc.

Awesome! Had a great time with Peter in his new boat which proved to be nice and comfortable in pretty bouncy seas. Peter patiently showed us his techniques and skills and talked a lot about why, where and how. We went to learn about soft baiting in particular and he was fantastic in showing us how to do it … which resulted in some fantastic snapper! Highly recommend him - Jeff McLeod
